Good deal on Mac OS X?

Tell you what - in the way of home computers, we've had only a total of 4 in the past few years....A Performa, a Compaq Presario, an Imac, and a Dell. The Performa lasted for a couple years before dying - but it had something major that was defective to start with, forget what that was. The Compaq began failing immediately upon bringing it home, and we got rid of it in less than 4 months - it had a LOT of defective things evidently. The Imac has been trouble free for over a year. The Dell has been good for a year so far, but it keeps having parts that fail (the mouse, the CD ROM drive, the modem) but at least Dell fixes them.

Of all of them, the Imac has been the best. In the future we'll probably get another Dell - but we'll probably get a G4, too.

If anyone knows of a great deal on Mac OS X, please let us know. He's just a little boy who loves his computer, and wants the latest OS on it.
