I have an asus p3v4x and the asus probe program gives me some readings that i think might not always be accurate. i leave my computer on pretty much all day and night and when i look at the temp logs it shows thats at times the cpu reaches 159F and ranges between between 159 and 125 for about 20 minutes. i know that is way too hot for idle, but when i have it at full load it ranges anywhere from 100 to 120 with an occasional blip above 130. i think there is something wrong with the mobo or the thermal diode on the p3 chip. is there a more accurate way to read the temp on the chip?
