Interesting Idea. But doesn't the AMEX only do pricematching on printed prices - as in B&M stores? Besides, the price is, usually - free. I suspect AMEX would take the rebate into account.

Has anyone looked into this more?
I doubt it would work though. $1000 DVDs wouldn't sound so bad with that...

word is it doesn't work; I heard someone called amex and asked...something like they take into consideration price after rebate.
but no harm in someone else asking about it....anyone?

PM won't work with AMEX. Check your cardholder agreement -
"Best Value Guarantee assures the lowest price available on purchases made entirely with an eligible American Express® Card in the U.S. Refunds are limited to $300 per item and a total of $1,000 annually per Card account"
AMEX also has posted a customer advisory specifically about CyberRebate purchases and their (AMEX) liability as well as your liability for purchases from CyberRebate.

Besides please dont screw them on this. Once people start to abuse the system they might pull there price matching offer for valid deals.
