I missed out on the deal at computery3k.com for the 21-inch Gateway/Mitsubishi monitor last week. I remember the update saying that they might have more in stock this week? What's the status?

Thanks

it's a 22" and they're anticipating stock in 1-2 weeks.

search deals archive for 22" and you'll find it.

is it just me, or is it hard to find where the news and deals archives are located on the site these days? i can't seem to locate it right now... :( i'd really like to know the model number (and the equivalent mitsubishi model as well)

Awesome, you're just the person we want to talk to then. We've posted "how to find the archive" like 5-6 times already and still people ask us. Please let us know how to make it more clear. I'm completely at a loss.

Just go to the side of the deals page where you see "search deals"

You can search by word or by date there (date is archives, of course).

Apex.. I ordered one too... waiting on stock to come in, anyhow. Some friends were concerned about the .25-.27 dot pitch. The 19" I have now is .23-.25 (Viewsonic), can you give any perspective on how it looks vs moniutors with better dot pitches?

The dot pitch measurement is quite different between an invar shadow mask and an aperture grill monitor. That 19 inch Viewsonic, what model is it? If it isn't an aperture grill, then comparing it with the Mitsubishi is like comparing apples to oranges.

Yup, that Viewsonic is an Invar Shadow Mask. The technology between the two is pretty different, and the dot pitch for each is different. Here's a great explanation with great illustrations to explain it.

I got mine about a year and a half ago and it still works great/looks great/and never ceases to impress guests. The gentleman is correct about the aperature grille pitch to dot pitch, they are not comparable. This monitor blows everything else away (unfortunately I spent $1300 on it, you lucky bastards).

Yeah, I think I actually do remember you mentioning that the archives are searchable via the "search deals" feature. However, I think you should keep in mind that many people visit so many websites that it's hard to keep track of the quirks and nuances of each one. Therefore, if you don't have a link somewhere on the page that's explicitly labelled "archives", then those of us with short attention spans or failing memories will have trouble...

Hope this helps

i think you got a good deal even at $1300 RichNpImp :) at the end of 1995 i bought a sony 20sfII. great monitor. $2k. but i still used it and while it was quite expensive, i still dont regret buying it. i'm quite envious of you who are all getting the mitsu 2020U. been eyeing those for some time, and if yall can snag this one, it's a great deal :)
