Hey all, what do you think of a USB CD-R/CD-RW?
I have the 6X/4X/4X Rewritable USB CD-Writer 8220E Ext. Drive (HP) in mind. I think it would be cool because I wouldn't have to open up my computers, and I could attach it to multiple machines..

Also, what are the most popular Burn-Proof Drives?
Burn-Proof is a Sanyo technology that basically reduce the number of messed up cd-r you make, more info at http://www.burn-proof.com

Thanks.

if you want a usb drive so that you can use it on multiple machines then i think its a good idea. but if you are going to use it on only one machine, then you can get a better and faster one for the same price.

as far a burn proof drives, i like plextor. they have made good drives before burnproof and thier products are still great.

Actually I think Plextor is pricey as hell, but I'm a poor college student. I recetnly built a budget ($800) pc for my dad. I ordered a Creative CD-RW Blaster (12x10x32). It has Burn-Proof and was $130 for the retail version. I thought it was a damn good deal and creative is a better company than some of those other companies selling cheap CD-RW's like LiteOn
