How do you remove internet explorer...in the add/remove programs it only gives the option to add a component or to repair it...

I tried deleting the internet folder but with no luck...

Problem is this: My friend is able to connect to the internet but gets page cannot be displayed no matter what...I tried everything I could possibly think of to fix this but with no luck...so I am trying to remove it and then reinstall it...I tried running a repair but was prompted that I needed to rerun the setup before I could repair it...they didnt have the disk...so I borrowed an IE4.0 disk and tried to load that but it wouldnt let me since I had a newer version already installed...now Im stuck....

do you want to get rid of it entirely? or just patch it so it'll work?

Well, if you're having problems and you wanna fix your explorer.. d/l netscape and go the windows update site..
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

it should take you thru the rest of it from there...

how can i download NETSCAPE if I cant go to any webpages...

Is NETSCAPE big in size(megs)

well.. why don't you d/l it.. do you have access to a burner? if yes, then burn it onto a CD.. otherwise..

d/l a small ftp program copy to a floppy and when it's all setup download netscape from here...
ftp://archive.netscape.com/archive/communicator/english/4.75/windows/windows95_or_nt/base_install/cb32d475.exe

or you could always chop it into little pieces and email it to your friend...
