These knives suck. if you want good knives, let me tell you what I did:

Get in on the amazon $150 coupon deal earlier by switching to MCI.

Then, order a $229.00 6 piece Zwilling Henckels set on amazon. They had free shipping on kitchen items, so final price came to 69.95 shipped.

Then, open your delivery. I got a 9 piece, and called to let them know. I also noted that the handles had some scratches on it. They then gave $20 off the order.

I got 9 knives (the real ones) for 49.95 shipped. That's a deal, and some luck. It helps to be honest too.

I agree with the last post. Anyways, they're only German Style Knives not German Knives. These are made in China. If you wanted German Knives they should at least be from Germany no? They're not even German quality.

"German" steel is undoubtedly good stuff.
I do believe that that the Japanese (as in Samurai) and the Spanish (as in Toledo) also made some nice blades.

what the heck do you expect, you're paying $2/knife. If they cut for a week or two, you broke even. Any longer than a month and I'd say it's a great deal.

Actually, I did buy the knives. They're made in China. I've had them for half a year now I think. One of the knives is actually sharp, while the others aren't and I can't get them to stay sharp.
