This may be the one to get me to give up my P3V4X.
$195 on pricewatch... still too much. Otherwise, it sounds just PERFECT.

what good is 266mhz ram when the cpu only runs at 133mhz??

Not much hapoo. Using a 133MHz Front Side Bus with that DDR memory is sort of a waste. Especially with the Pentium III near the end of its life. All the reviews I've seen have said there is no or little performance advantage doing this. Its just not worth it.

Does it not run the RAM at 266?

We just got one of these puppies in and will be reviewing it at the end of this month as we have a P4 round-up coming down the pipe along with a whole bunch of goodies in our Logitech week here at Got|Apex? So we will let ya know as always :)

Yes the ram runs at 266, BUT the CPU only runs at 133!!!! so the cpu can't take advantage of the ram.

Hmmmm... I don't know about that. Why, then, on the VIA chipset motherboards did it allow us to run the memory at 3/4 (or +33) if our CPU was only at 100 MHz? Same concept... should be.
I am certainly interested in the review.

I may have this wrong... but the DDR is not necessarily running at a higher frequency... it's just using both sides of the clock-cycle to write data (i.e. writing on up and down at the same speed as opposed to writing on up-only at twice the speed). So that 266 is somewhat theoretical... I think.
And the CPUs are operating at 800 MHz, et al. What's the potential output of an 800 MHz P3 in GB/sec? I don't know that number... maybe DARTH can help us with that one? Does it push the new DDR GB/sec rate capacity?
