Diamond Multimedia Sonic Impact S100 ?

Is the Diamond Multimedia Sonic Impact S100 sound card ANY good? I know i'm gonna be building a low end system so I can install Linux and experiment with it in maybe a month or so. Ubid.com has these up for $14.99. http://ubid.com/actn/opn/4425179.asp , if you want one. I just want to know if this card is at all decent?

Diamond Multimedia Sonic Impact S100 uses the ESS Allegro chipset (http://www.diamondmm.com/default.asp?menu=support&submenu=Audio&item=drivers&product=Sonic_Impact_S100). It is an okay card if you want a basic sound card. I'm not sure if this card is supported under linux.
