Dr. Zoiberg is the best character on TV. Everything the guy says leaves me in stitches.
Most loneliness is self-inflicted. You look around the room at any bar on Sunset, and examine the guys that are doing well: they is very little atypical about them!
Maybe is just a case of self-esteem preservation, but I cannot in good conscience say that I'm less attractive than most guys: I'm not short, I have all my hair and limbs, no disfiguring facial markings, and dress better than average. I can hold a pretty good conversation, and make within a standard deviation of pretty much all the guys in there, for better or worse.
I think if you could design some substance or program that would stop guys preoccupying themselves with their limitations, and JFDI, there would a) be a very wealthy man and b) a hell of a lot more sex goin' down.

Another observation: There's braille on the drive thru ATM machines. Anyone else find this odd?
sorta... maybe some guy is driving the blind guy to a drive thru atm...
speaking of zoiberg, he was great tonight
Fry: Oh no! blood. This means I'm a...
Zoiberg: Lobster?
Fry: Human
Zoiberg: Also good.

See, that's the type of mentality that more guys need to have. Forget about your funnily shaped head, your short arms, your lower income...we need to focus on what makes us great.
I'm becoming more and more convinced that the thing that seperates the winners and losers in this big ol' genetic marathon is the ability to convey an impression of self-satisfaction, even if you aren't totally satisfied with yourself.
well, i mean, i was wondering why someone would consider that to be something negative? your initial statement was, "I cannot in good conscience say that I'm less attractive than most guys," then went on to state that "I'm not short, I have all my hair and limbs, no disfiguring facial markings, and dress better than average." these can be perceived as negative traits within this context. so my question would be: why is being "short" listed as a negative trait. isn't attractiveness to be guaged by collective traits? i mean, look at mel gibson, tom cruise, and michael j fox. they are not tall....

Well, I would submit that those guys are attractive despite being short; they're not sex symbols (I don't know about Fox) because they're short. I don't know many people that would revel in their lack of height. So yes, I would consider it a negative that can be overcome, just like any other negative.
ok, let me just say this: it's not a negative. it has never caused me to have any problems. and yes, i am offended at the implication. no, it won't bother me too long, because i know that it is not by any means a negative. i mean, really....come on now. did you just say that tom cruise and mel gibson are not sex symbols? i know a lot of taller guys that are not attractive. attractiveness is the whole package, not just one aspect. and no single aspect should really take away from the whole. it's just plain silly to say that being an inch or two under average height is a negative. :disa:

I'm short and a sex symbol, so I'd say that being short is in fact the way to more sex.

I certainly did not say they weren't sex symbols. What I said is they're not sex symbols because they're short. They're sex symbols because of, like you said, the complete package. If they were taller, they'd be even more attractive.
If you think a single aspect doesn't detract from one's overall appearance, then you're deluded. If Tom Cruise had one meathand or a flipper or was missing an eye, I think it would probably cause a few women to give pause. Could the overall suite overcome that? Sure, but given a Tom Cruise with one eye and another with two (or one short, one of average or above average height), I'd be most women would choose...
What the hell am I talking about? My original point was that it has much less to do with physical or social traits than it does with mental and personality traits. Women would/should be receptive to both Tom Cruises, so long as they projected the same persona.

You know, I've heard the French are, on average, short. And I sure as hell wouldn't touch a woman who'd been with a Frenchman with a 10-foot pole!

ok. i didn't get it the first time. apparently lpm is a sex symbol because he is short, tho. so, maybe he should do a book.

Ha ha! I like that! That's pretty clever.
I seem to be a permenant state of post-crisis, even though I'm decidedly pre-mid-life!

Hey, now don't beat yourself up. The only question you need to ask yourself is this:
1) are you more attractive than IP? If he's able to corral a female long enough to copulate with her, then there's hope for us all! :)
2) Failing that, are you at least above average for a Frenchman? They inexplicably seem to be able to continue the progeneration of their race. So long as you are, just speak with a French accent, and you should be fine. Failing a credible French accent, just wear a beret and give up a lot.
Ha ha, the French are funny. French. It works on so many levels!

you find the most chistled, gourgeous, stronges, most althetic, smartest, richest guy out there............
you then look to his cousin that no one talks about, missing all his teeth and hiar but the age of 14, sitting around all day building models and playing with matches.

I dont know about that one... I'm a fairly attractive young single woman and, in my experience, the Men's Health Magazine type, although looking good, doesnt really do it for me. I've dated a few and honestly their too concerned about themselves, how they look, etc to really enjoy life! I happen to like short guys. I happen to like tall guys. I think when men know they have a flaw they're more human and enjoyable to be with. It's like they work harder. Maybe I'm too earthy but if I guy spends more time in the bathroom in the morning than me then we've got a problem with that relationship!
