I have one monitor but want to use two computer systems on it. What do I need to get this done?

yes it is possible, what you need is a KVM Switch.
many companies make them. Heres and example from linksys: http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?prid=96&grid=15

Buy a monitor with dual inputs like the 21" FD Trinitrons... :D

I had a monitor switch that I got for about $19.99. It worked fine for low resolutions but when at above 800x600, it looked pretty crappy. Maybe its cuz I got a cheapy one, but make sure you look into the resolution capabilities if you can.
If you cant find one, I'll sell you mine (with wires) for $10 :-)

make sure you get a digital KVM (keyboard/video/mouse) switch
i have an analog one and the keyboard or mouse will often stop working
