Come on people lets join together and think of some happy thoughts for a while. Has anyone heard about anything positive or powerful happening around you? Something cool instead of something bad I mean? Just to change momentum in the Off Topic threads I mean. You know what I mean like puppies or nice girls you met or something like that. Then we can get back to the normal kidney- shot threads that G|A is famous for.

I'll start it off:

I have a friend from back home that I met a few years ago, who came from one of the toughest hoods in southern california. Since it was a Latino hood it was called a barrio*. It's a hard life coming from a barrio like the one he came from, especially in the summer in the low desert of California, when gets to be 120 degrees sometimes. Seriously the Imperial Valley is freakin hot in the summer.

Anyways this guy didn't think too much of school after he graduated from high school, until one day when he went to a local community college to hang out with some friends during lunchtime. There he met a teacher who ended up convincing him to get back into school. Not by shoving a book in his face but because the teacher befriended him, and told him about when he was younger, he grew up in a tough ass barrio too. The teacher talked to him about many of the obstacles that face someone when they grow up in a neighborhood such as this. I guess this inspired him because my friend got back into school and is graduating next semester from a local university here in San Diego. The teacher is very proud of him and so are his family and home boys back in the barrio. Oh yeah and the teacher was my dad.

Not too bad you think? Anyone else have a story that they find powerful or exciting?

i hit the ball with my head last night while practicing with my co-ed soccer team.

not only that, i didn't pull a groin, OR take a ball there! (i'm playing goalie).

i have a softball game tonight, but that's probably canceled due to the rain. which is good because i can get my taxes and more of my freelance shtuff finished!

i have two wisdom teeth grown in at a weird angle which are going to result in at least two root canals on my back molars when they're finally extracted.

one of the cats puked several times yesterday. now neither of them are much into eating.

the cats are getting their bits and pieces chopped off next monday.

it's freakin raining.

i haven't had a worthwhile bowel movement in ages.

my back aches. probably has something to do with hitting the ball with my head.

ed and dick refuse to stop here with their big stupid check.

it's freakin raining. again.

there's no cream for my coffee.

i have a cold sore.

i have allergies.

we're planning a wedding from 200 miles away.

i got a vulgar looking toothpaste stain on my pants this morning.

this coffee tastes like it was filtered through a raccoon's ass.

i am the only male in an organization comprised of 16 women.

my kid didn't shit in the tub today, making it a pretty good day so far. (and no, he doesn't call the shit poop. he calls it shit. that's my boy. can't say mama or dada, but he knows what the brown tub toys are.)

I just got my review at work and so far they think i'm a GOD! And I got me a nice big fat raise! BOO YEAH!!

I'm got's lots of new video games to play! BOO YEAH!!!

I still have all of my hair! (say it with me now) BOO YEAH!

New action figures are hiting the stores in May! Boooooo YEAH!

I met all these COOL people on this GREAT website called Got/Apex! (say it for the hell of it) BOO YEAH!!!!!

They finally fixed my blinds in my apartment so I'm not giving the world a free show anymore! (trust me this is good for the whole world so everyone together say...) BOOOOOO YYYEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!

My daughter did that once, she was SO scared she started screaming, I go in there and say "What's wrong"? She goes" A caca monster came out of my butt and its coming after me". LOL!!!! What a riot!
