free isp's can't stay in business just giving away free internet service so I wonder how these guys are planning on staying in business when they are giving away free service and paying people to use it.

The free ISP is not up and running yet and I'm very embarrased about it. I cannot, in good concious, recommend GP at this time and I have stopped all of my promotion efforts. I will remain inactive until the free ISP is up and running.

For your information, I will quote the latest information available from Alan Catalan, the CEO.

Regarding the launch of the ISP and PO - as many have noticed, we had some complications with the database during the commission run - known bugs had to be fixed before the run was completed and before the ISP/PO database integration was done. The complications have set us back a day or so, but it is not a big issue.

We will be working around the clock to get the ISP and PO launched asap.

As of last night May 23rd the ISP is up and running... and running very well.

But... The rules have changed.

Going Platinum was designed as a Community... like a combination of AOL and Yahoo combined into one. It will include search engines, auctions, shopping malls, etc. GP will make money from the members that participate in the community. GP will pay a commission to those that participate. GP will charge those users that do not participate in the Community and only use GP to log onto the internet.
Here is the way it works... Going Platinum Affiliate Program (GPAP) members that have paid a one time out of pocket fee of $25.00 will have unrestricted use of the ISP. This $25.00 option will be discontinued on June 1st (or shortly thereafter). Anyone that joins later and wants to use the ISP will have to earn it by using the community... or pay for it. They will pay $9.95 at the beginning of each month... and... get the entire $9.95 rebated to them each month that they earn $5.00 in commissions. This $5.00 commission can be earned by any combination of a members use and the override commissions on the use of their downline members.

The bottom line is... Join (and pay) before June 1st.

The Going Platinum ISP is still working fine and it appears that the full program is VERY close to launching. There is also now a tech support line available on a 24 hour/7 day per week basis with a 1-800 number.

I found it! As a matter of fact, I *find* it on a daily basis. It works great. For a one time out of pocket fee ($25.00), it was and still is a very good investment.

The *free* ISP costs a one time fee of $25.00 and is still available. It will be available until the payment center is taken down at (or before) launch of the GPC portal. You just need to register in the "partner" program and then go to the payment center part of the site and pay the $25.00. Once that is done, you will be able to download the dialer and enjoy the *free* ISP.

Note: Not all small towns are in the current coverage area for local dial in service. More areas are being added daily. If you want to email me your city (or local dialing areas), I'll check out the avalability in your area.
