Cingular Wireless In Calif

Ok, I have an Nokia 8290. When Cingular was PacBell I had the PacBell logo on my phone which I had changed it to my liking (dragon in this case) as I had done on my 6190. Yesterday I got the Cingular logo after turing on my phone (pissed me off) and couldnt override it with a new logo last night. Any ideas on why?
Im almost tempted to go back to my 6190 cuz i dont wanna see Cingular on my damn phone. I KNOW who my provider is , i dont need to be reminded of it every damn time i look at the phone. And i hope the 6190 doesnt revert back to the Cingular logo. Havent used it in weeks so i dont know.

Anyhow, if ya know y i cant change the logo now that the logo went to Cingular, itd be much appreciated.

and it SUCKS MAJOR ASS!!

i constantly get a 'system busy' messagewhen i make calls.. i drop calls with full signal...

and i get almost NO reception where others who have a different service get FULL reception!

THEY SHOULD DIE DIE DIE!

I've had no problems with reception or dropped calls..

where are you located? I'm usually in West LA and sometimes to the east in Alhambra and out towards Pomona...

seriously though I've had no problems so far... which phone are you using?

i used to say stuff sucks ass all the time. and then my sister one day after i said it asked me to please stop. and i was confused, so she said that it is just gross. and then, when i thought about what i was saying, i just started laughing. hysterically laughing. i couldn't breath. & the worst was that i was driving! i had to pull over cause it was soooooooooo funny.

now, when ever i hear the term sucks ass, i chuckle.

Same here, no problems with dropped calls and signal loss, and ive been with them from the start in 96. Even drivin to Vegas im full signal almost all the way there , cept through some of the passes.

Very interesting, Cingular has just started advertising up here (in Minnesota) and their marketing *has* peaked my curiosity, but it seems as if they are no different from any other wireless customer, good and bad reports.

Oh well, Sprint is the service I use, best I've had yet.

cingular is just a group of other cell carriers banded together to create a nationwide (somewhat) company

i get CRAP signal in OC (orange county) and ESPECIALLY in the san fernando valley...


those places are the WORST!

I believe that is cause by an overloaded tower...

I had the same problem in Oklahoma... it lasted for about 4 months, and i couldn't use the phone at my house, even though I had full service. I could drive 3/4mi. down the road, where the signal would jump to another tower, get one or two points of service, but make a crystal clear call.

I would switch providers to AT&T, but they don't have as good a plan running right now as i've got with my current phone.

I have verizon and my signal sucks in OC and san fernando valley...I think its more your area than the company..

I have cingular and I love it. Been through sprint, verizon, and alltell. This is far by the best. :)

i have a 5190 still... but my service provide is Cingular now was pac bell ... they claimed that it should get better but it's worse ... ive had my phone for about 3 years now and it's just getting worse and worse ... this goes for all of pac bell's products ... their phone company sucks ... worst costomer service ... cut my line for no reason ... my pab bell DSL if freakin' slow ... like 200 ping most of the time... and their cellular crap sucks too ... im gonna start banning them all .... PAC BELL go to HELL ~!~!~!
