In three weeks I leave college for back home. This also means I leave my T3 connection for AOL (I can't stand AOL). I hate AOL with a passion. So I am thinking about getting cable or DSL. I was just curious what is the best/cheapest internet service to upgrade to?

Hello KZ,
Is it alright to ask people to look for the URL in another forum where they are permitted? If not then please remove this post or LMK and I'll remove it.
Thanks,
Jim

NetZero is what I am using now... it's limited to 40 hrs per month, but there are ways around that! :hihi:

I have erols and I love it, but it's approximately $16.00 per month when you prepay for a year. To me, it's worth paying a few bucks if you get reliable service.
Accessmicro has a deal for MSN. Pay $99 and get a $50 rebate for a year's service. I don't know about their reliablity or if too many people are using them or not.

A few people I know have @home. They are pretty expensive though - like $40 a month. Does anyone recomend it or can I find the same service for cheaper?

$40/month is the typical rate for cable modem connections. I have used RoadRunner in the past and it's worth the money if you can share the connection with at least one other person. Although, I am still considering getting it for myself because I can't live without my broadband!!
