View Full Version : happy friday the 13th everyone!
last year i had a good day....until my car broke down on the way to see santana. the princess :love: and i were late to the concert, had to park the car in a bad part of town. took taxis all night, and had to tow the car home. oh, and tried to have fun at the concert while thinkin about the car.
nuttin is happening to me, cuz my birthday lands on the 13th =/
is that today? i mean, is today your bday?

Today is my kids birthday! She 5 now. For the love of...how the heck can she be that OLD already?
So far 13th has crapped all over me. I forgot my wallet, watch and wedding ring at home. My car is loosing it muffler. My Statement printing job here at work ran out of paper and I had to drive all the way out to the whearhouse to get more just to have the print job get lost in the system and I may have to start all over! (that's 50,000 sheets of paper down the drain!)
If any more good luck happens to me today I just might have to find me a tower someshere so I can sniper off a few folks! (Okay it's not that bad but today sure sucks!)

Oh, hehe, i thought you were trying to say that Good Friday was back in March. I thought maybe you Canucks had a different Good Friday than us or something along those lines... hehe

friday the 13th, 1999. i'm sitting at a stoplight, minding my own damned bidness, and a little neon plows me from behind. no big deal, my car is bigger, but he hits me so hard that i plow into the suv in front of me, which turns my car to hamburger; it's totalled. hitnrun, guy who hit me takes off. so i have to walk to the insurance agent's office, a few blocks away. on the way there, a car fails to stop and splatters me across its hood. thanks to my cat-like super-hero reflexes (mmmph/SNORT!) i roll off and land fairly well on the ground, get some dislocated discs and pinched nerves, but nothing broken. this, too, is a hitnrun. i limp to the insurance office, and find that i have no cash to call a cab. being good christian folk one and all at state farm, nobody offers me a ride, and i limp home, and hide under the blankets in a fetal position for the rest of the thirteenth.
but so far, today has been good to me.

i got to leave work early! great, at least i thought so.
then it took me 1.5 hours to go 4 miles (between the bourne and sagamore bridges, for anyone who has ever been on the cape). so instead of my usual 5 minute commute, i was on the road for 90 minutes! ugh!
other than that, not a whole lot of good or bad things have happened. oh, the bosox BEAT the yankees! definitely a good thing!
