I don't know man. I played it a lot at the arcade, and while I really like the feel of driving, it get's pretty old. I mean all you do is pick up people and let them off. But I guess it could be more interesting that just plain racing.

What I wanna see someday is car chase game where you are either the cop or the robber and you actually drive though the city chasing or being chased. It would be really realistic with different hazards (alleys, markets, and people to avoid.) Just imagine the car chase scene in the movie Ronin as a game.

You mean... umm... like Driver?

BTW... Ronin is a bad-ass movie... best chase scenes ever. I watched a special on how they did all the audio and stunts for the car scenes... Very cool. I never realized that the Euro models sounded so much different.

I'll have to check it out. Is it first person perspective? Is the environment pretty interactive(no set course)?

Ughh don't get me started on that movie! It was great but I was sooo pissed off cause they never tell you whats in the suit case, the movie loses all purpose.

Well conditioned by Hollywood's conclusive, leave-nothing-to-be-questioned, total redemption endings huh? :D Personally I think in many cases it is better to leave things open to interpretation (One of the reasons 2001: A Space Odyssey was such a masterpiece...I mean, what the hell does it mean?!?! :confused:

Yeah, Driver2 is out now. It's almost exactly what you described ucbstan. Driver3 is in the works right now for the PS2 also.

Games like Driver and Crazy Taxi are fun the first time through by they lose their replay value quick. Just like Ronin, it has no rewatch value...so there!
