Cloning Jesus...
It would be totally whacked if they THOUGHT they got a cell from Jesus, but it was really from some laborer who had just handled the artifact later on...
They would be all worshipping some poor dolt who didn't know what was going on.
Even worse, what if the cloned Jesus looked like Jesse Jackson?

Actually, if they get legit DNA, it will be impossible.
In cloning, you are specifying the sex and it is impossible to get the opposite sex.
If you believe the Shroud of Turin, it sure looks like a guy. Even if you don't, I think the others of the day would have noticed if Jesus had to sit down to pee.

you just stated almost contradictory terms. you stated that it will be impossible. then you went on to state that your hypothesis relies on a belief. possibility does not rely on belief.
and as far as history...i have known history to have been rewritten to accomodate popular beliefs more than once. :thumbup:
