E3 Convention

Anyone else here going to the E3 convention in LA this week? They are going to be giving away all kinds of free stuff and Sony should have Playstation 2's to play around with. I went last year and it was great! Some of the companies even bring their spokesmodels. I am pretty sure they sell tickets at the door...i think they are about $25.

i'm pretty sure that the price is way way above 25 dollars at the door. I believe the cheapest at the door price is 200 dollars, but you could check their website, www.e3expo.com (http://www.e3expo.com) to see if you can find the price.

Actually, the E3 is for only people that work in the interactive industry. Companies get special passes for their employees.

Last year, it was at the LA Convention Center and it was truly unbelievable.

This year the should have the PS2 with most of the fall releases. It takes 2 days to check out everything and even if your not a gamer...I'd suggest anyone that gets a chance to weasel a pass go. For one, the girls that work at the booth are all FINE ( I don't know where they come from or how much they pay them) and they all wear their best THONG, THONG, THONGS.

Also, they have great deals on everything there.

On the pass I have it says its worth $200 but its good for all 3 days. But if you know anyone in the industry you can probably get one free from them. Thats how I got mine. All of the companies get tons of free passes. You might be able to just go and try to see if anyone in line has an extra one. But the lines to register are LONG.

By the way, its from the 11th-13th. 10-6 on Thu; 9-6 Fri; 9-4 Sat.

I just saw someone selling tickets on ebay, but dont pay too much for them. Remember most of these passes were given out for free.

no one can get free tickets anymore. industry people could get free ticketts from their web site before april 7th, but from then on they had to pay the full price too.

I'm going to E3! for free!! My friend got 2 extra free tickets for my other friend and me. Last year he got 4 additional tickets for us. This year, with college, only two of are are going to make it. But tickets are 250 dollars. If you had ordered before April 15, it woulda been 200 dollars. Last year was awesome! Playboy models, and etc. It was cool and all the cool video games and free stuff. I grabbed a lot of free shirts from Eidos, Playstation, and Capcom. And they actually had the PSX2 there last year, but it was a laptop attached to this pyramid thingy. . . I think you can buy tickets at the door. You have to be 18 and up though. . . But I saw a couple of kids in there last year though. My suggestion for those going, go the last day! that's when they just start to give stuff out, paintings, cards, etc.

Apex, i know that you're the master of all sweet deals (and that you won't be back in the forums until late tonight), but can you think of any ways to get someone into E3? I do work in a computer store, so I do technically count as indusrty. Well, I'm going to call the E3expo guys in a few minutes to see if i can get a late pass. If you can get a good deal on the E3 expo...i'd appreciate an e-mail (e-mail me at [email protected] instead of my regular forum e-mails). I really want to get in on Saturday, and might even try that "wait outside and hope to get in" move. Thanks for your help.

I'll tell you how I got in.

went up to regsitration.. and told them I had pre-registered via their online web thing.. downloaded the form and faxed it in prior to April 7.. they didnt have record of me though but I know i faxed it in on time. made a big fuss and such.. (my friend with me this actually happnend to).. the lady apologized (the manager that is) and gave us two passes.

The show was great.. got alot of freebies and got a poster signed by tony hawk for my little brother.. oh yeah met daisy duke as well.

Hey guys. We're back from the Expo and very tired. The amount of walking is unbelieveable. We actually paid $150 out-of-pocket for our passes because we couldn't get the press passes in time.

They actually have guards at the doors and one of them asked my to flip around my badge to see if I even had one. But some of the guards barely glance over.

yes, the horny men (and i use the term loosely; it was at least a 50% pocket protector crowd) were certainly flocking yesterday. Oh well; that's what you get when you pack hot hot women in tiny miniskirts or revealing tops in with tons of guys that couldn't even dream of getting with that caliber of girl. Of course...I am a very prideful person, so i just hung out in an area talking to a really hot girl as if we were friends for like 10 minutes before i even realized that she was an akklaim girl (she had a sweater on over the blue&white striped thing, so i finally had to notice the short miniskirt coming out the bottom).
