I am looking for a good deal on a decent 19" monitor. I am looking at the kds VS-19sn (short neck).
I am giving my 17" to my wife for her computer that is yet to be built. I saw this monitor at Sam's Club last night for $229, which didn't seem like a bad deal. Its by no means the best monitor out there, but does anyone know of a better monitor at this price? Has anyone seen or used KDS monitors? Any other suggestions or deals?

I have the KDS AV7-TF, which is a 17" Flat Screen. I upgraded from a 14", so I absolutely love it. The specs on the 19" look pretty good to me, but for the same $220, you can get the 17" flat screen. Are you completely set on getting a 19"? If so, this one may be the best bang for your buck. But in my opinion, once you go flat, you never go back.

Since I already have a 17" I don't want to go smaller. I do some CAD at home and would love a larger screen. I got spoiled using a 21" monitor at work, so my 17" drives me crazy.

Ive had 2 17" KDS monitors. THEY SUCKED!!!
both crapped out in under 2 years.
I was so angry with the second one, that I took it to the courtyard and beat the living shit out of it. When I was donr there was not one piece larger than a few square inches. It was able to fit in a box less than 1/4 of its size.

I've had my KDS AV-7T 17" Avitron monitor for about two years now, and it has never given me a moments trouble. I love it. Very good image quality.
I'm looking to buy a new monitor for my mom's computer soon, and KDS will be the first monitors I look at. I would definitely recommend them.

I too have had my KDS VS195 for about 3 years. I haven't had a single problem with it and it's still going strong. I can't really compare it to any other 19" monitors because this is the only one that I have used, but I would give KDS a thumbs up. Oh, by the way, my parents got a KDS 17" flat screen and it's very nice... it's the avitron model. I still can't decide if I prefer the size of the flat screen batter.
