I'm making a dual boot system with my W2k. I need something to play games on and use some of my older software. Should I stick with Win 98SE or take the plung with ME?

I've had a good experience with WinME so far, so I guess it's who you ask...

I remember reading something with "Boot Commander" Software(i think its called that) that winWE needs to be on the first partition. How this works with Win2k is beyond me. Also might find out if your games will work with ME before making up your mind.

Yes, you should always install Windows 2000 after installing Windows 9x/ME

I'll chime in here. I wouldn't use WinME if you paid me. To dual-boot with Win2k you need to install Win98 first.

And while I'm here, I just experienced something odd with Win98SE. I only recently got a full Win98SE CD. Until now I would install Win98 first edition, then the SE updates, then all the online updates. This was perfectly stable for gaming, no problems at all. The last time I redid my Win98 install I used the full Win98SE CD. Now most of my games will occasionally just kick out back to the desktop (no error messages whatsoever) and getting all my video and sound drivers installed was a total pain in the ass. Never had either of these problems before.
