I recently bought an epson scanner but have a really old and outdated printer. from 1993. Is it best to get an epson printer if i get a new one? also what is considered a good printer?

Epson, HP, and even Cannon and Lexmark all make excellent printers, which are only bettered by an ALP printer, which is basically the Rolls Royce of the domestic print world (they go through ink/cassettes like a Rolls Royce guzzles gas). Anyway, look for something with at least 1200 dpi resolution and if you are wanting to print photographs on photo-quality paper, look for a photo-quality printer, such as the Epson Stylus Photo series or the HP PhotoSmart series.
