Ok, here's the deal.
I swapped out 2 sticks of Generic PC133 SDRAM with 2 sticks of 'Tonicom' PC166 SDRAM. After installing them, reconnecting everything, and restarting, I couldn't boot. I had to clear the CMOS, take the battery out, and let it sit for quite a while. Then, when it finally did boot, it would only run at 100x10; if I make any changes (hell, if I just go into the BIOS and leave without touching anything) it refuses to reboot. I have to clear CMOS *again* and I'm back to square one. On top of that, I installed the latest BIOS (dated 4/14/01), and, now, after I finally get it to boot at 100x10, and get into Win2k, when I exit Win2k and try to restart, I get 'Invalid CPU or CPU Changed -- Check Softmenu III' or similiar. So, I go and try to configure the correct parameters...and it does the same thing. Refuses to reboot. Any ideas?
Now, I've had nothing but problems with this MB since I've gotten it a few weeks back. I've ordered an IWILL KK266, and I'm real close to just tossing this KT7A PoS.
