BAH- So I come home last night at 3 to find a bunch of cables, my controllers and my old skool nintendo laying in the middle of the doorway. I was immediately alarmned and went in the room to discover my PS2 and all the games were gone. BLAH!!! This just sucks, I live in a dorm and we usually have the door bolted so that we don't have to use the key to open it everytime. I was not home but my roommates left it bolted and I come back and yoink, someone yoinked my PS2. #@$@#^$#Q#@!$_)#($#)@
And since my door was not locked BU (Boston University) doesn't have to cover it. So right now I am just really pissed and waiting for the stupid police to come by to take a report. Suckage.

I am confused.

If your door was locked AFTER the robbery, that would imply that thieves had a key.

If door was UNLOCKED, it would imply a ROBBERY. This seems pretty bogus.

Howard Stern went to BU. Maybe he can help.

Also, you can still get "renters" insurance. It will cover robberies in dorms and even alligators who eat camcorders (see earlier suckage post)

That really sucks though.

I think by bolted he means that he leaves the bolt out so that when the door closes, it just hits the bolt and doesn't shut. That's how us college kids leave the doors so people can walk in and out. That sucks about your PS2 man :(

Thank GOD they took the PS2 and nothing of any value. Boy that was a close one eh? Trust me, life will now improve now that THEY got the PS2. Now you can go out and get something worth the money like a Dreamcast, Upgrades for the PC or even a pony!

Of course I feel bad for the person(s) that took the PS2. Are they so hard up that they couldn't at least steal something they could USE? What are they going to do with a PS2? Use it Hold the door open to the next place they going to rob?

Silly robbers, PS2's aren't worth nothin!

Such compassion apmiller what a nice guy you are. Sorry to hear it Kacarp I know it must be frustrating. I had my guitar stolen from my apartment a few years ago, and it was devistating. But, I got a new one eventually and things are all right now. If you believe in Karma like I do then the guy who stole your shit will have it come back to him eventually. I suggest you put up some fliers so that if he lives in your dorm, he won't feel comfortable playing it for the fear of getting busted.

if i remember correctly, the BU cops are actual police officers, not just "security guards". but that was 5 years ago when i knew all sorts of random BU info.

Real police? i always ignore them when I rip down Commonweath Ave. You think they any real jurisdiction for giving out speeding tickets? Anyways, getting off topic. But in myexperience, university police dont do Sh*t. I got my car broken into once, the university police wrote it down...i had to ask them to make a record and take fingerprints. Otherwise, they weren't going to do anything about the situation. You are better off serving your own justice! like spiderman and batman

ya the police here are actually real police.. guns and all.. woo hoo. But BU is very big on being able to say they are the safest school in the country, especially since we are in the middle of a major city.

Well no news yet, I doubt I will get it back. But I have the police report and my parents homeowners insurance my cover some part of it, if not I guess I will just get another after summer.

Thanks for the compassion, well those of you who gave it

It sucks that your PS2 was stolen, no doubt. But it's nice to know that students can afford PS2s. Gotta love student loans!
