View Full Version : Weber gas grill?

Anyone know of a place to get a cheap Weber gas grill? I'm especially interested in the Genesis Silver B series. Unfortunately, the cheapest one I've seen is $450...

Don't know where you can get a "cheap" one. Try home depot, though they usually only have the lower end ( up to $600) models.
I almost bought one from Home Depot, until I found a local hardware store that offered me a better deal (free delivery and assembly).
Best of luck to you, there's nothing like cooking on a weber. Even my dad who couldn't possibly see me justifying spending $750 on a grill changed his mind with the first batch of grilling. We've done everything up to a prime rib roast (it's in the weber cookbook; 3 hours but *SO* worth it).

I guess I should have qualified that a little... there's really no such thing as a 'cheap' Weber grill!
I just have a bit of a problem paying more for an outdoor grill than I paid for my stove that I use every day! I'm hoping to find someone selling last year's model or something. I'll check around at the local HW stores.
In a similar vein, can anyone recommend an outdoor gas grill that's comperable to Weber in terms of build & quality, but hopefully a little more affordable?

Definitely don't buy Ducane! We bought one about 3 years ago for over $500 and we were having problems with it almost immediately, and more problems occurred even after they sent the repair guy to fix it. Last year we bought a Weber (don't remember where or for how much) and there have been no problems whatsoever.
