View Full Version : PS2 Mod Chip?
Hey, does anyone know of a quality place where I can purchase a mod chip for PS2?
While I'm at it, would you guys recommend putting one in? I know that if any sotter gets on the motherboard, it's toast. Plus, I'm looking for a place that would sell backup games.
Any thoughts?

I don't think any of that is possible with a PS2 yet... Or maybe it is...

While I'm at it, let me ask. I've always been tihnking about getting a game machine. Can the US PS1/PS2 play backup games purchased in Asia? Is that the whole point of the modchip?

Yeah, that chip makes your PS2 or PS1 region free. I have had my original playstation modded for years no prob. I'm gonna wait to get one for my PS2 however because they are bound to make one sooner or later that doen't require a swap trick.
I agree with M_A_C. The instructions on that webpage for how to play a copied game seem kind of confusing and too much work. I have a chip in my PS1, and it works normally for copied games. (Of course these are backups of games I originally bought legally. :halo: ) Just load it the same as a real game.
