I came here expecting to make friends, but all I am getting is bad assumptions and people mistaking me for being romantically interested in them. I belong to another board and everybody there has always been very friendly and welcomes everybody that joins the site, I guess I was wrong in assuming that would be the case here. I have only had one or two people that cared to welcome me and/or talk to me. I guess I made a mistake in joining this site :(

in the other thread it is stated that people are only joking, can someone point out the humor in this. I have a fairly good sense of humor, but these assumptions were not put there as a joke. Tuvi didn't sound like she(?) was joking, they sounded more jealous. I came here to have fun, that's all

I think you just caught the good folks around here on a bad day. I've only been posting for a month now but I have been watching this site for a long time now since lpmiller does all the news posting and demands constant attention!
This is a great group of folk unlike any. They are here for you! Our form of "humor" tends to confuse some but if you stick around I think you'll make some good friends here. Hell I think mojo and cruelpupet are great to chat with. Pennypinch, wellfareloser,oblongmelon, and TheHappySqurel are just a few other names off the top of my head I can think of that you would get along with too. I don't mean to leave anyone out here for if given time I could list off about two hundred folks that are all great!. You had a ruff start but give it time so you can know us and we can know you.

I think that people here are generally pretty laid back. In one thread they may be making fun of your or angry at you. But in others, they may be your best buds, who knows. Maybe if you ignore them the bad ones, they'll go away. Haahaah.

Hey Sweetness welcome to G|A. I hadn't said hello to you yet because everytime a female joins the forum it seems like a bunch of G|A male members swarm her, trying to get the hookup. I'm not saying that it happened with you, which probably shows that this board is growing in maturity(probably not though :)).

Its supposed to be Cruelpuppet, but when I registered that name on AIM (5 years ago) you were limited to 10 char so I dropped a "p"
As for the origin of Cruelpuppet, he is a character from one of my favorite game series.

just out of curiosity... did you lurk here any before you joined and jumped in the conversations? ppl that lurk for a few days / weeks (or months like me) sometimes pick up on other's weird humor. (like Nice(wo)Mann and Happo having an afair, :love: ...with Jenny! :hihi: )
BTW, occasionaly these forums go through a rough sopt where everyone is at each others throats... I have't been reading enough lately to tell, but it all settels down after a few weeks... stick around a while - you'll end up going crazy with the rest of us, and enjoying every minute of it! :D
