what's the strangest dream you've ever had?

a few nights ago, i was climbing to the top of a mountain in iceland in the springtime. it is the most beautiful scene i can imagine. at the top is a lake, and in the lake is a polar bear. i know i can't outrun it, so i play dead. i feel it coming closer... closer... then it has my hand in its mouth, and it's just toying with me, but i can feel the teeth that might decide to clamp down at any moment... it was excruciating, and it went on forever, and i COULDN'T WAKE UP!
the strange parts being that there are no lakes on top of mountains, and no polar bears in iceland...

then i have this recurring dream where there is this gorgeous ice-cream parlor, like a cross between a godiva chocolatier's and a VERY fancy cocktail lounge. everyone in there is taller than me, and they're all dressed up but i am in jeans and have no make-up on, so i feel like an unworthy skank. everyone else is super-cool, and laughing and having a great time, and i am alone, and i just know that if i asked, they would never serve me ice cream. so whaddaya suppose that means? (other than the basic "i am insecure.")

Funny you should bring up dreams, I've been having some freaky ones lately.

In the first one, I had Super powers, like Goku from DBZ and I was batteling Cell in my backyard.

In the second one, I met this girl who turned out to be a hemephradite (sp?). Thta was freaky.

In the 3rd dream, I invented a new type of Reeses peanutbutter cup.


BTW, the tv was on when each of these happened... Cartoon Network, Jerry Springer, Food Netwok respectivly. The food network was on, cause i was watching the iron chef that night.

i had the freakiest dream that i had to work for someone else for a living, doing stuff that i don't wanna do, and making less than i really care to talk about. i wasn't a famous musician. i lost my house and my wife. i had to live in a crappy apartment. i didn't live in hawaii. i didn't have a boat. whew....sure am glad it was just a dream.

hmmm... that's almost as freaky as my dream where i had the perfect career lined up, got crapped on two weeks before graduation, but then lined up a plan-b almost-perfect career, got knocked up, freaked out and quit, and then finally wound up deciding to find the sack to follow my dream of being a writer even though i know it will never lead me to respectibility or financial stability, like a no-good irresponsible dumbass, only AFTER i managed to rack up $35,000 in student loans and no way to pay them back. and i lost my house and kept my husband, and maybe shoulda done it the other way around; given my current living arrangement, i am looking forward to the crappy apartment i will be moving to this summer. and being saddled with a kid and a hopelessly uni-lingual husband, i don't live in iceland. never really wanted a boat... damn i hate those dreams.

maybe we should get really drunk tonight, and we'll dream about sex with hot celebrities instead...

I had a dream when the Crest toothpaste guy that's made out of toothpaste and wears black shades was hugging me so hard that I couldn't breath.

This one is from when I was like 6 years old...
I was an astronaut and I landed on mars. The king of mars led me into his palace. The ground was covered with gold coins. He clamped down all my limbs onto an operating table and tickled my foot with a feather. I woke up with my foot being asleep. This was when I still slept with my foot underneath my head. I used to have a reoccuring dream when I was a child. I lived at the base of a volcano with my family in kind of a ghetto hut village. Well in the dream, the volcano would shake and I'd hear a bunch of indians chanting HOOO HOO HOOO HOO( you know how when you cover your mouth and do the little noise ). Anyways, they would come down from the mountain in hordes and I would fight them off with.....TOMATOS. Haha, I'd hide behind things and throw tomatos at them to fight them away. This would happen about once a year for 4 years, total weirdness.

hmmm.... i think i was one of the ululating natives in that dream. we thought they were grenades, not tomatoes. next time we won't let you scare us off so easily.

I keep having dreams about working a normal work day! I wake up in the morning thinking it's two days later instead of the next day. I get to work wondering why something I just did was not done anymore!

In another dream Homer Simpson and I were trying to save the world from BARNEY! We would kill that stupid purple dino over and over again and Barney would pull himself back together like the liquid terminator. Finally Homer would get the idea to melt dowm Barney and drink him! Poor Homer was splatered all over the place and I woke up in a cold sweat! I'll get that freakin dino yet!

Last night...

I had this weird ass dream. One of my friends was driving me back home, but was going the wrong way. We started driving through one of those cement half pipes like in that scene in Terminator 2 where the T-1000 is driving the big rig. Then, I'm suddenly in San Jose in another one of my friend's apartment. But none of my friends have their own apartments, less ones in San Jose. Then, we start smoking weed, but that's weird too because I don't smoke anything. Then, I look at myself in the mirror, and then I look "through" the mirror and see 2 schoolmates. But they're schoolmates that I don't even talk to. One is in a tuxido and the other in a wedding dress. Next thing I know, they're coming in through the front front door and start talking to my friend. I go to the corner and start taking shots of some drink. I dont drink either. Odd indeed.

I once had a dream that I was driving down the road at night and came to a four way stop. While waiting for the Jeep that was also stopped to go, I looked up into the sky and saw opposite Earth. As I watched, it kept getting closer and closer, and finally merged with regular Earth, and all hell broke loose. It was like everyone instantly went totally insane. Then the dream turned into a sort of movie experience.....not like watching one, but it was as if I were making the movie with Steven Speilberg or something. That part is vague......

I always have crazy dreams. I dream that people are made out of pasta, and they disintigrate while they talk to me. I dream my cat is possesed by Satan. And I can't kill it, no matter what I do. I try choking it, smashing it's head into walls and curbs, nothing kills it. I dream the world lives underwater, and I have to swim everywhere I go. People will chase me, and I'll be swimming like mad trying to get away from them. I dream I live in a treehouse. I fall out of it a couple times a week. Alot of my dreams happen in cemitaries. Electronic and mechanical devices try to kill me. I usually have a gun in my dreams, but it never works.

I used to dream of falling. Usually off a bridge. Frequently I'd be in a wood panel stationwagen, but sometimes in an RV. Sometimes when I wouldn't be falling in one of those vehicles, I'd land on one.

That's only the tip of the iceberg.

first of all, your cat was not possessed by satan...that was sekhmet, the daughter of ra. second of all, you are not supposed to kill this cat, unless you wish to die a slow and painful death. hathor is probably your cats peaceful side, and more benign. you pissed off ra, and let loose sekhmet...which is hathor's destructive side. sekhmet once killed a whole land full of people that didn't properly worship ra, and had to be tricked by her father into getting drunk in order to stop the carnage. i think the moral is to be nice to kitty.

btw, you must have pissed off ra very early, as the you were being chased in the primeval world-ocean that was before the one we know today.

When I was little I used to have a reoccurring dream about a panther attacking me. I searched for some hidden meaning in it, but now I realize I am just nuts.
Recently I had a dream me and my family were flying over my old high school in a giant intertube (no I don't do drugs).
Then my ex boyfriend was engaged to some unfamiliar looking blonde girl and I was trying to break them up (been watching too much soap opera). I have weird dreams all the time I just can't think of any more...

I had a dream the other night where m 33 year old mind went back in time to inhabit my 15 year old body. I met my girlfriend for pizza, and marvled at the wonder of time travel. Then I woke up.

As a child, I would dream of my family, dad, mom, sis, and brother, sitting on my neighbor's porch. Terry, the neighbor, would be showing us his latest catch (fish). I would look up, and see 3 figures walking toward us, the one in the middle tall, wearing a cape. This is strange cuz the town I grew up in had little over 2000 ppl in it. Terry would put everything away and take his fish into the house. Dad would hurry everyone into our house next door, but not me. I would be running to get there and he would close the door just as I reached the porch. The guy in the cape was alone now and showed his fangs. I would start screaming and running around the house trying to get in. My dad would be at all the doors shaking his head and refusing to let me in.

That was my recurring dream as a child. Strange thing about the dream, my house was constantly changing from 86-present, my dad being the carpenter wanna be that he is. In the dreams, the house was always the original. White with red tin roof. The house my sister and I swore was haunted.

I have a new dream now. It isn't reoccuring, but a chapter dream, one that continues on whenever it wants to. Who knows maybe one day, if I can learn to spell, I will write them as a book. They are interesting. The story starts after WWIII and the US is fighting within our own boarders and there is no other communication with other nations. The weapons are really cool, they shoot an acid type bullet that melts the body. We have all become scavengers after the fall out. Dunno... maybe one day...

I used to have these dreams about falling down some cavernous hole, but facing up. It was completely pitch-black so I couldn't see anything, but I could tell it was an enclosed space (like a well).

At the point when I would have hit the bottom and splattered all over the place, I'd wake up chalk-outline style in bed.

I've looked this up, and falling means that you fear not having control of a situation. I haven't had this dream ever since I broke up with my psycho-ex 5 years ago. Coincidence? :hmm:

One time when I was at Basic Training, I had a dream I was at home talking to my friend in my car, telling her how much Basic had sucked. Then I woke up to a screaming Drill Sergeant yelling at us to get ready for PT...

When I was younger I used to dream that there was this midget who'd grab Andre the Giant and swing him around over and over, then throw him into this electric plant. The shock would then travel down this wire underground in this street, past these old guys at a bus stop bench.
I still don't understand, but I dreamt this dream from the time I was six until I was ten.
