Can someone give me some recommendations concerning TRACKBALLS or any other "more ergonomic" input devices for that matter. I get bad shoulder pains and have tried many positions with no avail. Thanks

trackballs may or may not help. Shoulder problems are primarily caused from reaching to the pointer, be it a mouse or trackball.

You may want to first consider a mouse bridge

You should also invest some time to learn keyboard shortcuts instead of using the mouse for everything (unless you already do this).

If you still want to try a trackball, visit a computer store and try some out. They should all have some sort of return policy. Also consider pointers such as touch pads or the DeskStick. Visit InfoGrip for a bunch of pointing options; they offer a 30-day money back guarantee
