I'm chicken shit when it comes to the ladies.
how about a personality trait you dislike about yourself?

I'm a procrastinator. I'll tell you more about it later.

I'd tell you, but frankly, I'm too lazy to make the effort.
If I can keep her attention past the first few minutes and have some one-on-one talk time with her I do fine with women. It's the first few minutes I sometimes get flustered and blow it, so that's a trait I don't like about myself.

People say I talk too much. Don't know why, but sometimes my husband falls asleep in the middle of conversations. I'll ask him the next morning about something I said and he will have no clue as to what I said. I tell him it was about 3/4 of the way through our conversation, around 11:30 and he said he fell asleep about 10:45. I had no idea, but it was really no big deal.
I think it all started in kindergarten. My kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Darnell, told my mother that I was going to be a great student, but that I was by far the most talkative person in my class. That was the first 9-week conference. At the end of the semester, she said that she could hardly ever get me to stop talking. Two weeks later, she called my mom and told her that she needed to teach me to be quiet more, so my mom sat me in front of the television for 3 hours a day. Of course, all that did was teach me GREATER language skills. I absolutely HAD to put those to good use. For a million bucks, I bet my mom can't remember what "grades" I made in kindergarten, just that I talked my way out of school. heheh
So then the other day, as I was baby-sitting the 2-month-old set of twin boys I'm watching, they kept crying and kept crying and kept crying, and nothing I was saying was working. I finally got a headache from talking and soothing and shut up, and what do you know? They quit crying and went to sleep. Damn kids anyway. Don't know a good thing when they hear it.
I think that's the thing. I love the sound of my voice. When I was young, I would talk and talk and argue til I turned blue in the face. My dad always said I would argue with a fencepost, just to hear myself talk. lol He was so right. And dammit, don't you know that I have a 3-year-old who is now paying me back in spades? Grrr! :)
Ok, so back to what I was saying... ;)
jenny, i am willing to bet that you have a very nice voice

I always second guess myself with women. I hate that. One moment I'll be sure what to do...but the next I'll drop into a shivering huddled mass in the corner...and later I'll find out that I've missed some huge opportunity. The kinds of situations where this happens are during deep conversations, and the next day I'll hear "i was totally into you throughout the conversation and wasn't totally joking when i jokingly invited you over." but the opportunity will have completely passed, but no i'm not talking about booty call. I mean that for that time there was a great chance to start a relationship.
This happened last week and I'm totally depressed now because I'm not sure what will happen, and the girl is an easy 8.5-9.1 out of 10. How many chances does a guy like me (some of you have seen the picture) seriously get a chance to start a relationship with that beautiful (and yes, i totally enjoy her personality and we get along so well) a woman? Damn that woman with the communications major who is still rather cryptic most of the time. Ths is part of my proof that communications is a joke...
It's been too long,

you also can't spell "sentences"; that must be one of the effects of speed-typing.
