I was hoping that someone could help me find a deal on a digital I/O card that will go with my SB Live.

Have you tried www.hoontech.com (http://www.hoontech.com) ?

Do you know how much shipping would cost fromo them. They are based in Korea are they not? No need to pay out the a** for shipping costs.

They have some links on their site for American distributors.

While we're on this topic, I can't get mine to work!!! I bought an IDE connector and linked my I/O card to the SB Live and it gets power but it won't send music to my MD player via the optical cable.

Are you using Windows2000? If you are, you need the updated drivers from Creative before it will work.

I bought the SB DB III from USA distributor
"Audience Digital Products" for $36 + $5 shipping. Go
directly to their SB DB III product page here.

I have a DVD-ROM in my pc, so I run the coax-digital output from the
SB DB III to my home stereo component Dolby Digital/DTS decoder.
It works awesome. I haven't used any of the other connections
(yet).

When you order, make sure you specify what exact model SBLive you have.
There are several different I/O header sizes.

All I need this for is to get digital sound out of my card and into speakers. I was disappointed when I learned that the SB Live card I have is only analog. So will this DB III card enable me to have digital sound come from my SB Live card?
