I checked on mine today (been over 6 weeks) and was told they had never received either of them. I have never had a rebate lost in mail, much less two sent in two seperate envelopes. Now I have to fax the copies, but they only accept faxes after 3 p.m. or before 9 a.m. Once they receive my fax, it will be another four weeks before I can check back.... Anyhow, just thought I'd suggest that folks check on their rebates to make sure they were received...

The rebate was offered as "XIRLINK $50 Rebate" for the IBM PC camera. The offer was valid only on cameras purchased via Outpost.
The number to call is 1-877-424-4692. You plug in your zip code, last name, and they let you know the status. If they don't find it, they give you the option to speak to a representative.

I haven't received either of the rebates yet, but I did get an email from the rebate processing center, whose site you can access here:

They say they received my rebate on 25 May, but that they still haven't sent the checks out yet. It's good to know they got the paperwork, but how long can it take to cut a couple of checks?

I mailed the rebate forms out right away. I got two emails on May 23 saying that they had been received for processing. The online status says nothing more than the email did. Of course, this is the same fine rebate processing company that has been (mis)handling the Prime Peripherals OfficeMax rebates. I'm about to start sending some emails to Outpost complaining about how the rebates they offered aren't being fulfilled in accordance with the stated terms.

I called today and was told that they would issue a "manual check" that I should expect to receive in 15 working days, or another three weeks. On June 20th, I was told to expect it in two weeks. Hopefully I'll see these by Christmas... :)

Who did you call? Every time I have tried calling rebateHQ, all I get is a "leave a message and we'll get back to you in order" (of the 350,000 complaints we are processing).

If you call, one of the "unmentioned" options is to not select any option and the call will be answered. (What an absolutely wretched, antiquated phone messaging system they have! Things sound like 1970's computer-generated "speech", and the "music" sounds like a 1960's transistor radio that was recorded on a kids tape recorder from the same era.) Anyway, I asked about my two $50 rebates and was told I would receive the same "accellerated" treatment and should get my checks in 15 business days.

I wonder if their plan is to just sit on things until someone calls? I just had to complain to Best Buy about a $30 BB gift card "rebate" that I was supposed to receive from a disk drive deal.

Well, I'm halfway there. One of my rebates was "printed" on 7/22/01, but the other one is still in the limbo status. What a crazy company!!

I got one check for $50 yesterday. The status of the other rebate has been unchanged since it first appeared, so I called that "wonderful" phone system again. (The person talking at the other end sounded like they were using a $3.99 headset -- her voice was so overmodulated I could hardly understand her.) So now my other $50 rebate is on the "fast track" to be mailed out in 16 business days.

to anyone who havent gotten their rebate. you really need to call them because it seems like they will not send out the rebate unless you call them. so heres what you do, call 1-877-424-4692 and dont pick any of the options, you will be directed to a CSR. then give them you rebate number, if you dont have it, your info. my CSR said "it was received on may 25th, as a courtesy, i will do your rebate right away, you will receive them in 30 days" what a bunch of crap! AS A COURTESY??

My second rebate came last week (after my second phone call). It does seem that calling gets things moving. Just remember to not choose any opotion and let the call be answered by their wonderful phone system.
