I'm trying to use my Linux box as an SMTP server by sending mail from my windows box through it. However, I keep getting a relaying error. Anyone know what I need to do so that it will allow me ot relay through it?

I'm trying to figure out the same thing here, but I don't have an answer. What Linux? Are you using sendmail? If you figure it out let me know, I'll do the same.

Topane: I'm using Red Hat 7.0 sendmail. I have the imap and everything configured. As far as I an tell it might be someting in the /etc/mail/access file that you have to add. I'm still searching for it and I'll let you know when I find out.

Hapoo: Yes I play team arena but not really at all. I used to play A LOT of quake 2, but since school and work has put more responsibilities on me it's been harder to find the time to play. I would like to get back into it.

If you're running a fairly new version of sendmail then you need to add the domain from which you are emailing to the file /etc/mail/relay-domains.

I think I remember you but I'm not sure. What servers do you usually play on?
