i asked compgeeks.com about when they'd get more of those MP3 CD players in... here's what they said.

Computer Geeks negotiated in good faith with the manufacturer of this
product and in fact did
purchase and sell about 1000 of these units.
Our confidence in this supplier was damaged by their insistence on what
ultimately can be called a
price fixing scheme.
We have no interest in profiteering off our loyal base of customers.
Our sales price was $129.00. At
this level we made a profit margin that is normal and acceptable to us
and gave our customers good
value for their hard earned money.
The manufacturer, presumably at the demand of Easybuy 2000, demanded
that we release them
to market at no less than $145.00!
Our position is simple. No one has the right to dictate to us what
price we need to charge
our customers.
We need your help. You are our constituency - our customer base. If
you are interested in buying
this player from us, at a fair price, as opposed to an artificially
pegged cartel like price, please let the
manufacturer know.

to be more interested in
