well last week i stacked up 3 coupons got a 30 gig hd for $157 plus tax, received it the next day by UPS...
however, i knew i wasnt goin to be home to receive it, so i left a note tellin them to leave it between the doors, they did, and left that note too.
should i call up staples tellin them the order never arrived and try to get a free one??
also, if i do tht, do u think they will realize i used 3 coupons?
any help would be appreciated

Have some common sense, DO the right thing.

The fact of you leaving the note telling them to leave the note gave your authorization to have the packaged left at your door. Therefore, the authorization you gave them, then clears them of any wrong doing from their point of view. Once they review the facts and that you did leave an authoriztion, you will be on your own.
You already good deal on the HD.
Don't be too greedy man!

I think the purpose of this site is try to get people the best deals and free stuff thru coupons and referrals. What you are thinking is fraud and I hope you get busted if you try to get a free one by telling them you did not get any.

My hard drive just died and I had my eye on the 40GB Maxtor. Should I hold up my local Staples so I can get 14 for free?
Perhaps I'll give both Staples and UPS a call and let them know they should be on the lookout for a Staten Island resident trying to defraud them.

They have names for people who do that sort of thing... they're called criminals.

whoah guys, calm down, u dont gotta be so hostile about all this...it was just an honest question to begin with, but whatever..
and to those who said this is fraud or not rite or stealing....
using coupon codes from these boards, or multiple coupons to begin with that we are not authorized to even get, i dont really see that being much different, but thats just me. Especially since now staples has in bold red letters on their order page that u cannot use coupons from bbs's or web sites and that no more than 1 dollar off coupon is allowed.
sorry about gettin everyone all pissed off and whatnot, didnt mean any harm, and i wont even call about gettin the free drive

there is a world of difference between coupon abuse and outright fraud and theft, which you are thinking of attempting. the reason we all got in your face is because we knew that it was an honest question. If it had been a joke, we wouldn't've cared, but the fact that you were actually debating it is what disgusted us. You are more a thief than a deal-hunter. Even Staples doesn't deserve that kind of treatment.

how do you stack coupons at staples, i can only get one coupon to work at a time.

I gotta go with ProMinx on this one. There is a difference between, I guess you'd call it 'weaseling' (?) some extra coupon action out of Staples, and outright theft. I'm not saying that piling up coupons is right, but then Staples should fix their web site http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif
Heh heh looks like someone got a well deserved ass reaming here.

I think homie did this as a joke. I think we all can agree that you shouldn't jack someone or some company like that. Unless it's Microsoft.
05-17-2000, 07:22 AM
Yeah, you pull something stupid like that with MS and next thing you know 2 black Expeditions start parking outside your house everynight. Don't mess with Dr. G http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif
Plus as a shareholder I'd report your ass. Don't go screwin with any company outside of the law. Tie them up in silly litigation if you got a gripe with them.
Ço£o§§ü§ - yeah you can read into it...
