You all probably remember the computers4sure.com $100 off $100 fiasco where almost everyone got screwed.Well,I got an email from them a while ago saying that they canceled my order(a printer and a printer cable) and then got one saying they re-activated my order but they were only sending me the cable but at a cost of $75.00 or somthing ridiculous like that. But nothing came. When my credit card bill arrived yesterday I had a $25.00 charge on there from them, but I also had around $130 credited to my account by them.Basicly they gave me $105.00.Everyone that ordered from them should call up the cc company and check.

Awww shucks, just checked mine. No such luck.
Guess thats kind of a lot to hope for.
Good luck to the rest of you!
I remember seeing or reading or hearing somewhere that if a bank credits your account, and its obvious to you that its in error, its a crime to withdraw it and run.

Hehe.. I'm in a similar situation. They first said that my order was cancelled.... then said that it was shipped before they could catch it so I would be charged the full price... then said they recalled the order before it arrived and my order was re-cancelled.
About a week after all the emails.. the scanner I ordered arrived (didn't get the combo pack of CD-RWs that I ordered though). I checked my web certificate and they ended up crediting my account for $100. A free scanner and 100 bucks.. not too bad http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif Anyone have any idea what they're going to do when they realize the mistake? The money has been in my account for almost a whole month now, and I haven't heard a thing from them.. hehe.

Be careful about spending the money that has been erroneously credited to your card. I believe there's fine print in at least some credit card agreements that allows member companies to correct their errors. This has happened to me before. It might take a while, but you could possibly see a charge (to correct an error) that you were not expecting sometime in the future. Read your credit card agreement or even better yet, call your credit card company and ask them a "what if" question. You do not have to get specific about it. Just let them interpret the legalise for you. This way you will be certain that it's OK to spend their money.

hey ghost, this is kind of off topic but i was just curious. how do you own guns and all that stuff if you're only 15? i know your parents can help you get credit cards and all but you must have it good if you can do all that stuff and are not allowed to drive yet. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif
