Anyone know of a good mp3 editor that edits mp3s directly? Something besides converting mp3z to waves, coz it takes too long, and if I have a huge mp3 (say, 70+ minutes) that I want to splice/slice/etc..., then it would be kill all resources, so.... any suggestions?

I've never heard of anything that can edit MP3s with any precision. I've hear QuickTime Pro lets you do some copying and pasting and the like, but nothing too useful.
Keep in mind that any program you find that would edit MP3s would HAVE to decompress the audio for you to edit it. The only difference is that it would be done automatically instead of you converting it to a wav. What I'm getting at is that it would still eat all your resources like you wouldn't believe.
Automatic resource digestion. Tasty.
