I'm setting something up for my Mom on her AOL space, but she wants a regular dot com address. What's the best place to register a domain name and how do I forward it to the AOL space? Thanks,
Julie

Well oriweb.com has a year registration and you can have it forwarded to the AOL address for only $12.95. I haven't tried this company yet...but I think I am going to with the price. The only thing that gets me is he only takes paypal....which is not always a bad thing.

$15 domain name registrations at DirectNIC. Stop wasting $35 for domain registrations at Network Solutions. DirectNIC can register your domains for only $15, with no additional fees! $15 registration fee includes domain forwarding, email forwarding, and free website! Check this out! DirectNIC also allows for more flexibility with registration periods than Network Solutions, and your domain is every bit as valid as one registered with Network Solutions.
Register at:
http://www.directnic.com/?3632
Registration is fast, easy and simple!

Yes, I have six domains registered with them and it's great!
The email forwarding (
[email protected]) can be pointed to your aol email account or any email account, you can use their free website (it has their banner on it) or use aol's.
Just a great value.

BTW I did just buy 4 domains through http://www.oriweb.com (for $12.95 each) and they were registered and setup the same day. Great deal....now to figure if I need anything else. :)
