Question about Pac Bell DSL and Networking... please help

hey everyone... Thanks for looking first of all

I currently have 3 computers hooked up to my Linksys 4 port (BEFSR41) router. I was thinking of getting Pac Bell DSL service and I am not sure if it is easy to set it up so that all 3 computers can be online at the same time.

Anyone know if this is possible and if so can you give me some pointers. I hear that you have to log on via some program called Internet 300 and I was thinking this may cause some conflicts if another computer tries to log on. Will this bump off the other previously logged on computer? In other words can the same account be logged on multiple times at the same time?

Thanks but that didn't help at all. I have the system hooked up for ethernet access with all the computers hooked up to the same router. My question is how does Pac Bell's proprietary method of logging in cause any potential conflicts? Can you log in to each computer at the same time and expect to have access from all of them or does logging on to one bump you off the other.

No mention of Pac Bell on that web site.

You are sharing one DSL connection. PacBell will give you one IP address (ie, say it is 192.168.0.1). You will then configure each of your computers "Gateway" setting to that address and enter the DNS addresses that Pac Bell gives you. Then configure your Internet Options for each computer to use a Lan connection and then reboot. Each computer will then share the one IP address without affecting the other. Depending on the router that Pac bell provides and your DSL connection speed, you may experience degradation in performance as the number of computers shring the one address increases.
