Recommend a good ADVENTURE game?

Hi I've always been into adventure games. Especially about 8-9 years ago when all the Sierra, Lucas Arts games were pouring out. I played Monkey Island AGAIN a couple years ago and got stuck. I forgot how I did it the first time way back. After that I really haven't had much time to play games. Can anybody recommend a good, decently new adventure game? I'm not into RPGs where I must think of details like "experience", "power" and spend tinm accumulating points and such. I just want a good story line, maybe some humor, and straight forward thinking involved. A bit of action is also good (I actually liked Metal Gear Solid) but not too much.

PC or PSX games please. Thanks!!

Ah YES!!
I remember when this game first came out a while ago. It was "the new BIG game from Lucas Arts!" I always wanted to try it. Looks like the PERFECT recommendation Leon. I absolutely LOVE Lucas Arts adventure games!!! Thanks.

Has anybody played this action adventure game called "Relentless - Twinsen's adventure?" I played that game about 6 years ago in high school. It'll look like a cheesy 3D game now, but MAN! I loved that game back then. The graphics were top notch for the time, and the music was amazing!! And it was SOOO much fun! I found it on eBay for really cheap so I'm gonna play that again too!! HAHA. This summer break is gonna be awesome.

Myst 3 came out but heh...

The Longest Journey is one of the best adventure cames in recent memory. Monkey Island 4 is ok, but don't hold your breath, the 3rd one was much betterm (i didn't bother finishing the 4th one yet...)

Stupid Invaders got horrible reviews....don't touch it

I LOVED that game. I was blown away by the great animation. It was so smooth. It could never aim his stupid magic ball though. When he got the sword, he started kicking butt.

Hmm... you liked the Longest Journey? I wasn't too fond of that game. It was just too boring for me. I guess I'm not too into European adventure games.
