Ok, my buddies at Verizon have given me the royal shaft trying to get DSL at my new house. After being initially qualified, given two installation dates that passed uneventfully, and the runaround, they finally, three months later, gracefully informed me that my line does not qualify. (Which is untrue, but I'm not going to fight anymore).
So... don't need my networking stuff anymore. I've got:
SOLDUmax Ugate 3000 firewall. 5 port 10/100 hub. Web-based management. Works with DSL/Cable/Roadrunner. $300 when new, but I realize there are cheaper ones out there now. $60 obo.
SOLDIntel 1.6 Mbps wireless networking kit 1 USB wireless controller, and 1 wireless PCMCIA controller.
Hook one up on your pc with an internet connection, and use the pcmcia card in your laptop to surf the web from the couch with no wires or cords. Add more controllers on your own if you want to network more devices. $60 for both, obo.
HP JetDirect EXPlus. Liked the ones at work so much I got my own. It's a network print server for a single printer. Make your printer tcp/ip so any networked pc in the house can print to it. $249 new at CDW. $125 obo.
Fujitsu DSL modem I have no idea what DSL services this works with, other than Verizon, so it's probably useless to most of you, but I thought I'd offer.
Home-built PC (without the case, just parts): Gigabyte 7IXE SlotA mb. Athlon Classic 750 OC'd to 950 with a gfd. Rock stable. Voodoo5 5500. 128mb pc100 Micron memory. Quantum 6.4 gig drive. Win98SE installed, but not techincally included. Intel 10/100 nic. 300W Power supply. 56K modem. No sound or speakers with it. Keyboard and mouse, but plan on new ones, they've seen better days. PC only goes as a lump, I don't want to sell off the individual parts. $300 obo.
3com HomeConnect USB Webcam One of the better ones available. $125 in stores. (NO webcam is worth $125!) $50 obo.
Suse Linux 7.1 Professional on DVD (not cd). Includes all manuals and the original box. You'll need a DVD drive to use or install it. $25 obo.
Prices? I dunno. Make me an offer. I'm actually very open to trades, but not for pc stuff. I'd consider trading everything here for a decent laptop, but otherwise I don't need pc stuff. Trying to get RID of pc stuff! MP3 players would be interesting, as would PDAs.
Drop me a line at [email protected] if you have questions, or just post 'em here.
