If you were a fan of Tony Hawk Pro Skater (as we all were)...and then a fan of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 (most of us)...and NOW a fan of Matt Hoffman's Pro BMX (I haven't even tried it...but really like the fact that it doesn't involve a skateboard...), you have plenty of sweet games in stock for you. Activision's "recent" line of extreme sports video game cover is ballooning faster than any other industry field, following the tremendous success of Tony Hawk's original game.
In the next year, we will see the release of (our pictures are sketchy, but the games are beautiful (especially tony hawk 3; the detail is amazing):

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2x - X-Box release of THPS2 with a few added benefits.

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 - Playstation 2, Playstation, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, X-Box, and PC

Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 - platforms not announced besides Playstation 2

Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer - Playstation 2 and X-Box

Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder (my favorite, of course) - Playstation 2, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance

In my opinion, the upcoming Konami X-games Skateboarding, Winter X-games Snowboarding 2002, International Winter Sports 2002, and Winter X-games Snocross will not be able to compete with this powerhouse series.

i have them...but i passed out a little after getting back last night. now...i'm at work. i'll send you diablo 2 expansion and warcraft 3 pictures. then...i'll upload the pictures that we got from the behind closed doors Unreal 2 preview that Mezpin and I worked our way into. Let's jst say that Unreal 2 is going to beat the hell out of Unreal Championship...and Unreal Championship was my favorite first-person game publicly demoed at E3. What can I say? I'm a huge Unreal Tournament fan...

you sure didn't lie about the pictures being artsy
just curious but how do pictures (when taken by any average camera) end up so blurry?
i didn't notice anything great about tony hawk pro skater 2x, what exactly did the improve?
the snowboarding game looks nice though :)
I WANT A NEW VERSION OF SK8 or DIE

i'm not sure what they improved in Tony Hawk 2x...but that was my question too. no one at the activision booth felt like answering my question... we have a whole lot more shaun palmer pics though. some are quite good. you'll see them later tonight.

I'm a hudge fan of Tony Hawk Pro Boarder 2, but ign.com said that all of these games are almost identical in control and whatnot. That seems kinda dumb if you ask me. They also said that the snowboarding game had hardly no sence of speed to it, which made SSX so much fun.

when someone is not willing to answer such a straight forward question it's most definately a reason to get alarmed...
I actually didn't really like THPS2 i thought one was far more fun... somewhere i read a compaint about how game makers worry so much about how nice their games look that the are forgetting about gameplay... to me that's what THPS2 was all about... how it looks

yeah...i was a bigger fan of Tony Hawk 1 than 2, but that was because 2 just used the same engine (am i mistaken?) with new levels. I don't like sequels that don't do anything new. Tony Hawk 3 makes the game absolutely beautiful though...I don't think that this one will be a mistake (THPS2x is really only worth buying if you don't already have 2 and you're buying an X-Box). I look forward to Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder though. I haven't found a snowboarding game (that i've played) that i haven't enjoyed yet. Basically I just love fake-snowboarding off season when I can get to the South-American slopes.
