I posted this in another GA Forum but I didn't get any feedback so I figured I would ask in Off Topic. I am organizing a website that is going to take donations via paypal but I am not sure how to do it using a Personal Account. Has anyone done this before? I need some help!

Did you try reading the web accept pdf? It has a section on how to accept donations.

Hmmm Passwird, I believe that you can only use Web Accept if you have a premiere account. I don't want to get a premiere account because they take money from every transaction. I am going to be accepting $1 donations, and I don't want $.33 of every dollar(or something like that) to be taken from every donation. Know what I'm sprayin?
You can accept money with the personal account, but then you can only take up to $100 in credit card payments per month. If you're gonna have more than that, then you gotta upgrade to premiere. I think they take out about 2% or something like that for accepting payments with the premiere account. Hope this helps.
ED: Oh wait...they charge $0.30 per transaction with the premeire account, plus 2.2% if its over $15. That's a lot if you're only taking $1 per transaction.
I think you should just get a personal account, and if you're gonna take more than $100 in a month, create a new account.

Thank you for your help you guys. I guess what I can't understand is using the personal account, how to have someone pay me using their paypal account. The only way that I can see to get someone to pay is by sending them an email that they have to reply to. That means that the person would have to give up their email, then I would send them the link to my paypal account. I would like to eliminate this step by just having someone click on a button and then be able to pay.
I can't find any documentation on how to do this so I think I will send a question to paypal. Thanks again for your suggestions!
I dunno how to put a direct link to pay to you, but you can put a link to paypal, and leave your email thats registered with paypal on your website. Then they can just type in your email as the receiver of the paypal transaction.
