Hopefully the last CYBIKO post... mine just came!

The "WE WON THE CYBIKO CONTEST" thread is 68 posts long, so here we go.
I just got mine this afternoon from UPS (thursday). I know that Burzhai got his too. Anyone else? Mine is hot pink, and it had a few scratches over the screen.

Mine just arrived. Plasma Purple and looks perfect. I also ordered a second one, and that has not yet arrived. I see they cashed my check last week.

I just noticed the invoice says "If you submitted an order for additional product, please allow 4-6 weeks for processing."

My unit also appeared to have scratches on the screen, but there is a protective plastic film on the screen that you have to peel off.

Heh I gotta send my thing in soon then if people are actually getting them.

I got that email a while ago but didn't really read it to carefully, there was something about being able to buy extra accessories and etc for cheaper and a shipping fee. Do I have to pay the shipping fee even if I am not buying anything extra?

Considering Burzhui's post, I guess that's a matter of opinion. As for me and my household - that thing was used from the time I got home from work until long after I went to bed, and it was the first thing the kids were looking for this morning.

I ordered a second unit and personally think this was the deal of the year for me - two Cybikos for about $57.

I guess if you have kids, it's great. If you're a single young adult - you'll probably play with it for a day or so, then throw it in a drawer.

Yep, i played with a bit more, and there are no people in my area who have it so there is no one to chat with, the games are cute but the controls are very uncomfortable, as for the planner and address book i got my palm m505 for that

When I sent back my form I withheld my SSN like Maggie said we could. Two days after I sent out the form I got an email from a Cybiko CSR replying to the SSN question saying it would be REQUIERED to receive the prize.

My question is, did anyone who DID NOT give Cybiko their SSN still get their unit?

Definately a reason to check this board everyday. Deals like this are few and far between.

I got Plasma Purple and love it! lol I played a few of the games so far and actually kind of liked them. I don't have the $$ for a Palm Pilot, so this is kind of cool. Gives me something to do in the car on trips, anyway. :D

How do you guys think it would work as a planner? Is it small enough for a young adult to carry around? What is the range of the messaging?

Although it's not a full blown organizer or anything, I think it functions as a planner pretty effectively. It's got daily, weekly, and monthly things that you can fill out and it's able to remind you, by beeping I guess, of important tasks. As for the size, I'd say it's about the same as a game boy color, a tad longer though, the keyboard is tiny as helk but they give you this stylus pen thing so you can hit the little keys with that. They say that the thing can go for 150' indoors and 300' outdoors, depending on the environment. I love it except no else has it so I can't use it to chat and play multiplayer games.

Thanks to all for yet another great deal (I was also fortunate enough to get a Nomad II as well). Mr. UPS just dropped off my Cybiko today. Pretty cool. Lots of software... cheap little games and stuff, but may keep my interest for a bit. Saw something about a free MP3 cartridge they were giving away..... anyone hear about that? I don't think there is a reason to talk to me? They told me that a SSN wasn't needed. I wouldn't worry.

Got by Cybiko yesterday via UPS...I never gave them my SS #, so just be patient if you haven't received yours yet - it'll come.

I haven't really had too much of a chance to dig into the Cybiko, but it certainly looks interesting - especially for free.

Hey guys, I sold mine two weeks ago for $48 on ebay +$5 for shipping...I'll take $50 for that little toy anyday! You should still be able to get $30+ for it though, although ebay's flooded with them nowdays.

I didn't get around to mailing in the form until around June 1. I got mine on June 11. Maybe because I'm close enough to them to go bang on their door if they don't ship it out quick!

Anyway, it should make a good time-killer for the kids next road trip.

i didnt get mines yet but my sister got hers. the weird thing about it is that she send hers in like 2 days be4 they sent it to her. i sent it in like 2 weeks ago and still havent got it yet. i think my brother sent his in too. im not sure wut im gonna do wit mines other than return it to some store for store credit and buy a gb advance.....maybe walmart or target.

Did WalMart actaully take it back? Any problems? That might be the route I will take, Target wouldn't take it back without a receipt. I didn't bother with WalMart because they weren't listed on Cybiko's website.

I only sent in the mail reply about two weeks ago, and mine came today. I took it straight to best buy, and they gave me 69.99 worth of credit which they said had to be used during that visit. I ended up getting Chu Chu Rocket and Tony Hawk 2 for my Gameboy Advance and I only came up one penny short.
