Oh, OK - I missed that part about B&M. I'm out of luck anyway since I'm surrounded only by Office Depot and Office Max. All of my Staples deals I have to get online.

Passwird, can you explain what B&M only means? Sorry I'm new to this. Thanks in advance.

B&M = Brick and Mortar = the actual retail store building.

caddelma: B&M stands for "brick & mortar." That is, an actual store that physically exists, as opposed to a website that exists in cyberspace.

Yes, caddemlma, it is what you said. I mistakenly directed my explanation to you, instead of to syo202, who asked the question. Sorry. (I needn't have provided an explanation in any case, as you seem to have beaten me out by a few seconds.)

Okay, by about 4 minutes. But I didn't see your explanation of B&M when I posted mine. (And I'm sorry I accidentally tossed an extra "m" into your nick in my previous post.)

BTW, I bought these surge protectors at a local Staples, the day before yesterday. My rebate form's already on its way to Texas. And one of the protectors is safeguarding some of my home theater components.

Since I've purchased a fair amount of stuff at Staples during this anniversary sale of theirs, I probably should've ordered online, thus gaining an opportunity to use the $25 off on $100 coupon. But although I tried, I kept getting "out of stock" messages. So I stopped by a Staples on my way home, and found that they had in stock several of the items in which I was interested. And I bought them there.

Managed to pick up 100 16x CD-R's (PNY Technologies) for about 8 bucks after rebate. The two surge protectors. And the Dana halogen lamp. (Both purchases free after rebate.) The store even had 1 of the UPS's still on the shelf, although the guy behind me on the checkout line was about to purchase it. (I didn't want it, although I admit that at the post-rebate price of $10, it was tempting.) There were also plenty of examples of Laplink Gold (reg. price $140, free after rebate) and MGI Photosuite (free after $30 rebate), but I didn't need either.

And although I'd have purchased the Intel Easy PC Camera (a webcam by any other name...), for $9.98 after $40 mail-in rebate, the store was sold out. Which turns out to have been a blessing in disguise, as just this morning I managed to snag an IBM USB PC Camera Pro (VGA) at outpost.com for under $49 after shipping. And since it comes with a $50 mail-in rebate, that's a very nice deal. (I found the deal listed as "Free IBM Webcams, May 25" at http://www.techbargains.com)
