Should I do some random Anime-related news on the weekends to supplement entertainment news?

hell ya! Anime rules...

just some bits about the latest releases on DVD and what good and stuff like that....

hmm.. or maybe it should just cover animation in general. For example news on up and coming movies, eg (Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within) and the re-release of Akira in the theaters (well, only a couple a theaters.) But at least it'll keep people informed about where to get their latest animation/anime fix...

I think perhaps the demographics on Anime fans here at G|A might not be a huge percentage. But animation will be a whole different story, so perhaps anime would just be categorized under it.

Ooo.. and also sites where great deals can be found on anime or other animation videos/DVDs/comics.

just another thought popped into my head, how about some coverage on up and coming life-action movies based on comics and such.... that'll be cool.

I think you should post anime news.... Anime ga daisuki desu... totemo ii desu yo! =) ummm yeah... Don't talk about the boring dubb stuff they are showing on tv ^^;; talk about like... things like Clamp Chobits, Blood the last vampire, angelic layer, Digi Charat, FLCL, Tenshi ni narumon, Love Hina, etc...

Actually I must admit that at some brief moment in my life I was regularly engaged in the viewing of WWF, and I enjoyed it. It's just now with all the extreme publicity it has been receiving, and the failure of XFL WWF just seems too common to be fun or special. It was more fun when it was just like you and a few friends were into, but now that it's like the whole world is watching wrestling it has lost some of it's fun.

there is some really bad stuff out there that tries to cash in on the following that anime has, but the majority of series are just dang good. traditional animators can do what CG artists and special effects artists do, but in a fraction of the time, and with a much smaller budget. Some anime is just beautifully done, like cowboy bebop. when a piece of entertainment consistently combines a great ambience, good story, great character development, and stunning animation, among other things, it earns the title "anime". when it gives you chills to watch, and it's 4:00 in the morning and you have class at 11 the next day, and you have only seven more episodes left in the series, and you decide to finish it that night, THAT's anime.

also, i'm a big nerd.

Escaflowne from fansub, 13 hours straight w/ a 10 minute pizza order/bathroom break in the center. Man, I wish I could do stuff like that again.

But, yes, there is definitely a difference in the level of quality in anime.

my friends and i did cowboy bebop all in one night, such a good experience. and i did almost all of love hina in one night, too, i think all but the first four eps...

next series for me is kenshin (95 eps plus OAVs)

kenshin is awesome
i suggest you start watching it earlier on during the day
i spent alot of sleepless nights watching it...
but i guess if you start on ealier then you'll just get more episodes in before 6am... well the point is i am sure you'll enjoy it

Spent too much time watching Kenshin. The TV sorta sucked (except for episodes 28-62). read the manga :-)

There was 95 tv episodes and 4 OVA (making a movie) right? any other kenshin stuff? because I remember seeing a wall scroll with kenshin and another guy that i can not remember from the series

But true anime is of the likes of Kenshin, Perfect Blue, and Weiß Kreuz
I only mention those because as of right now that's all I have on my computer... KENSHIN is DOPE

yeah, i've seen parts of kenshin, and it seemed pretty good. nothing compared with the likes of Cowboy Bebop and NGE, though.
