The last time I checked, they were charging around $2.60 for shipping and handling plus they charge tax plus you have to wait forever to get your product. I am surprised that they are still in business.

Considering Columbia House is tied to the RIAA just like BMG Direct, neither of them are likely to ever go out of business. Can you say M-O-N-O-P-O-L-Y? I use to use BMG, and the total cost with shipping came out to be $45 for 11 cd's. They normally came in 2 separate shipments taking 2 weeks from time of order each. Ultimately though, they are both a rip off. One would think that people could get the music they want at a reasonable price. However, this industry is based on GREED. The bottom line is it does not matter who you buy the music from because they control the price and they get all your money. If you don't buy music from them (considering you like music from some other locale), then most likely they will sue you or the person that gets your music for you. There is no deal.

You need to buy 5 regular priced music selections in the next 2 years... so, 12 for the price of 5 (marked up) plus shipping? I've been in BMG for about 6 years now and after a while they pile on the deals so this one isnt for me but I have friends who swear by the stackemup and cancel em out concept.
