Sonic Booms, Jets and Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day. And what a way to wake up but to have a squadron of those black stealth jets fly over my home this morning at 9am...It scared the shit out of the dog so much she still wont come out from under the bed. It was loud. VERY LOUD. Does anyone remember SONIC BOOMS? I used to hear em as a kid a zillion years ago, but I don't think they ever occur anymore..What the hell caused sonic booms anyway? Well, time to go plant flowers..Have a memorable day.

sonic booms are when the plane moves faster than the speed of sound... and all the sound waves get all smooshed and bunched up like... kinda like pantyhose fallin down around your ankles. yeah, like that. damn, i should teach grade school science.

i actually woke up to a coupla bi-planes puttering along. probly some drunk vets, judging by how low they were and how badly they were wobbling. hope they land in the beans and not my pool.
