On a different note, he would have to be a representative of the heavenly order that you believe in, if it were to affect your going to hell. Since he drank the beer, then he is probably not etherial, so you can rest easy.

He's CATHOLIC. I went to a Catholic high school run by Irish priests. THEY would have gone to hell for turning down a beer.

I think its a pre-requisite into getting into the seminary. Almost every priest I've ever met(after catholic gradeschool, high school and nursing school) it's been alot. I remember one sunday at mass not too many years ago, one of the priests came out on the alter (not the one who was saying mass, but a different one) dressed like elmer fudd in his red and black plaid hunting jacket and told the congregation that he was an ALCOHOLIC and the diocese was sending him to the drunk tank out in michigan for 3 months. He was paid for his sabatical and when he came back the first place he went was to one of the local bars with the parish secretary to "prove" he could be around alcohol without being tempted. By the time he got home that night he was so wasted that they had to send him back to michigan for 5 more months. All this with an apology from the Monsignior at the parish on how the priest is 'only human'..bleh.
