8mm Cam Questions-=

I have my mom's Sony CCD-TRV12 Video8 camera here and I want to take a movie I have on one of her tapes. Problem is I want to put it on my PC first. Not just to VCR.

I found a cable that fits into the camera in a spot labeled "LANC" then from there it plugs into one of my pc ports. Real small little ports, that screws in. Don't know what it's called, but I have two on here. One fits my Olympus Digital Cam.

Is there a way I can take this movie off of here with win 98? I have a firewire card and digital camcorder, but can't find a way to connect the two and then to the pc. Suggestions please!?? Thank you!

Uhm, I'm not exactly quite sure on what you just typed but, I'm guessing that camera doesn't have a firewire output. If it does, just hook it up to the firewire card. But if it doesn't, you'll need a capture card that has analog inputs.
